The all-new revolutionary design of the Side-Entry Heavy Duty Rotary Valve Airlock minimizes the breakage of fragile materials and significantly reduces precious material loss due to inadequate conveyor systems. The Side Entry Rotary Airlock is equipped with a unique side-entry inlet, which enables material to gently glide into the rotor’s pockets from an angle minimizing material shearing, breakage, and losses. This proprietary infeed design, enables materials such as dog food, animal treats, feedstock, plastics, ceramics, glass beads, etc. to be handled and conveyed without the concern of rising material loss, which is common in cast-iron rotary airlocks.
Like all of PMM's Rotary Valve Airlocks, the Heavy Duty Side-Entry Rotary Valve Airlock is NFPA compliant and is 100% constructed from a special U.S. sourced 500 Brinell, through
hardened, abrasion-resistant steel alloy that is surface treated to push the
overall hardness to almost 60 Rockwell. In addition, the airlock is equipped with industry-leading rotor to housing clearances, which maximizes airlock functionality.
