Volumetric Feeders

The Flex-Feed Volumetric Feeder is designed to handle the most difficult to feed dry materials.  From powders to pellets, with feed rates of up to 900 cubic feet per hour. Typical applications provide approximately 2-4% volumetric accuracy given consistent material bulk density and flow characteristics. 

Our patented Flex-Feed polyurethane hopper with external agitation paddles, which flexes the feed hopper to promote flow, condition the material, and help reduce and eliminate product degradation, rat-holing, or bridging. This also helps keep the auger full of material, ensuring accurate volumetric feed rates.

These feeders are available in three sizes: The “5 Series,” which is the smallest, with a 0.5 cubic foot capacity Flex-Feed® hopper, the “12 Series” offers a 1.2 cubic foot capacity, and the “28 Series” is the largest with a 2.8 cubic foot capacity.  An extension hopper may also be added based on application requirements and customer preference.

To complement this line, we also offer a Hard-Sided Volumetric Feeder for those who demand all steel construction and do not require any agitation to promote the flow of the material.
