Ensign Equipment’s Live-Bottom Power Hopper is specifically engineered to convey non-free-flowing materials such as powders and flakes. Continuous flow is ensured by maintaining hopper angles of 60 degrees or more. With a long, exposed auger at the bottom of the hopper, the material is certain to be drawn into the auger flights and conveyed to the discharge. These are designed to accept materials from Gaylord Dumpers, Portable Storage Bins, or under any in-plant storage vessel or chute.
Ensign’s robust system is constructed with a 14ga hopper body and steel auger tube. A premium efficiency motor and direct drive gear reducer effectively deliver the necessary torque required for non-free-flowing materials with minimal power consumption. Conveyors can be designed to convey material at any angle up to a maximum of 60 degrees and with delivery rates up to 100cuft/hr. A braided Teflon seal is also included to prevent the escape of any conveyed material out of the conveying tube.
