Portable Drum Transporters (PLM)

Manufactured from 304 stainless steel, this hydraulic unit is capable of handling drums of various sizes, and is rated at a 272 KG capacity. Designed to be versatile this unit is capable of moving into tight spots, while handling a wide range of weights and drum sizes. The parrot-beak drum handling device engages with the lip of the drum while the support post keeps the drum stable while moving. The parrot-beak load height can be anywhere within the range of 559mm to 1016mm and is determined by the application requirements. After engaging with the drum, this unit is capable of lifting the drum 381mm off the ground. Equipped with a 127mm swivel caster, and two 153mm rigid, abrasion resistant polyurethane wheels, this unit is built for easy maneuverability in all environments. The operator handle is situated at an ergonomic 1000mm height, and a simple foot pump pedal requires the operator to generate 22 Newtons of force; each pump lifts the drum 13mm. A release pedal lowers the drum back to the ground.

The parrot-beak drum handling device is application specific and can be adjusted anywhere within the range of 559mm to 1016mm. Simply provide the details of the drum that is being lifted, and METO Systems will ensure the parrot-beak is at the appropriate loading height when assembled.
